## ASVAB Math Knowledge

The Mathematics Knowledge (MK) sub-test will evaluate your high school knowledge of Mathematics. This test is found in the pencil and paper versions as well as the CAT-ASVAB examination. You will need to carefully read and understand the questions presented in the Mathematics Knowledge sub-test. This test is very important, your score on this sub-test will reflect your overall Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) score.

Its important to remember that when taking the Math Knowledge Sub-test you will have 24 minutes to answer 25 multiple choice questions. That means that you will have about a minute to answer each question. So, it is quite important for you to be fast as well as accurate. Study well in advanced to be sure that your ready before taking this test.

**Testing & Scoring**

In the Mathematical Knowledge sub-test, the questions are clear and pretty much laid out right in front of you. In this portion of ASVAB Math you are mainly presented with word problems. you will need to pay closer attention to the problems in order to identify the exact question being asked.

Your score in Mathematics Knowledge will be reported separately as an ASVAB standard score. This score will also be taken into account when calculating your percentile rank.
